DVf stunner...

This dress is cute, casual and edgy at the same time...

The gladiator heels add a little edge instead of being too sweet, the bag of course is YSL and cannot go wrong with a cute black bag...

The Bag

I choose pumps to be more daytime appropriate...

Too chic for daytime!

Tried not to match everything but still look co-ordinated enough...what do you think?

Beige Oscars 2009

Is it just me or was there a complete lack of color at the oscars?

Why were there so many beige, cream, white gowns. If this means that stars showing sympathy for the recession, well how about donating the money or doing some good instead of pouring millions of dollars down the drain for award shows...

There were only 4 colors I saw on the red carpet last night
1.white, beige, or something in that family

2. Blue( Reese Whitherspoon and Frieda Pinto...)
3. Black (Jolie, Diane Lane and the kid from twilight...)
4. Pink (Natalie Portman,  Alicia Keys...)

And for god sakes, somebody tell Beyonce she can afford the best designers in the world so stop wearing 'home made' clothes. She also looked like she gained weight in the horrible fish tails she wore for the song and dance number ...

Jessica Beihl looked like she is wearing a paper bag, with her body, is it so hard to find a dress that looks good?

SJP needs to get out of the big poofy dress rut...

Angelina Jolie, we know she has 6 kids and does a lot of charity work, but how about not showing up if you dont care enough to dress up a little bit..

I think Frieda looked adorable...for somebody who probably is thrown into limelight overnight, she did well.

Reese looked happy and perky as always.

Ann Hathway was stunning in Armani Prive, but din't she change for the opening number and stayed in that for the rest of the show...

Sophia Loren the legendary beauty looked like she slipped off the wagon of 'aging gracefully'

check out some pics here...

Chocolate in SOHO...

If you are ever in SOHO, NYC and love chocolate, you have to try this place...

They have  a store which sells chocolate in the front, but if you walk back u'll see a nice cafe with marble tables and Victorian chairs. The spicy Hot chocolate is ultimate and their molten chocolate cake is excellent. Worth one week of dieting I'd say.

Ultimate Peanut Butter...

I've become a peanut butter junkie lately. I have it for lunch or straight out of the jar on my 'dieting can wait' days. In the process I tried this place. Love their peanut butters.

These are the ones I tried so far and loved them

No. 100: Dark Chocolate Lavender Peanut Spread
No. 45: Milk Chocolate Cherry Almond Spread
No. 94: Truffle Peanut Spread
No. 5: Hot Chile Peanut Spread
No. 32: Cinnamon & Silver Goji Berry Peanut Spread
No. 37: Mexican Chocolate Almond Spread
No. 7: Dark Chocolate Espresso Peanut Spread
No. 68: Dark Chocolate Chile Peanut Spread
Herbal Therapy Gift Pack

Let me know if you guys know of any other great nut butters to try...

Funny Show...

Saw the show Odd Couple at the kimmel center in philly

Very funny show, was hard not to fall off the chair laughing...definetly reccomend it for a fun night out

Beneluxx for Cheese and Chocolate

Tried to Beneluxx on V day. Its on 33 South 3rd Street in Philly- Lower Level and easy to miss, but its a true gem. If you love cheese, wine and chocolate this is the place to be. You can order all three by the ounce and sample from their huge menu.

I had cheese fondue and chocolate fondue along with couple of cheeses and chocolates as sample and it was the best dessert I ever tasted. Of course I could be officially called a chocoholic but I am in denial stage right now.

For wine I had a glass of California Gew and it was wonderful. Oh! and they have a wide selection of beers too...

Sephora's new Palette

Although most "limited edition", "seasonal palette" and "new lines" are just another marketing buzz words, sometimes some products stand out...

I checked out this palette at sephora this weekend and its beautiful. The packaging is nice, not too tacky. The colors are all not entirely new, except the orange and the pink.

The brownish mettalic color is very beautiful and looks like one of the very popular colors of Stila. Beige and brown are nothing exciting...but I'd live to see some looks with the orange and the pink. When I tried them at the back of my hand at Sephora they looked wearable and pretty.

Tempting, but I think I'll wait for it to go on sale...

DVF = Dress

Love the color simplicity and elegance of this DVF dress..

Looks too match-y match-y but I think keeping everything pink will highlight the beautiful blue even more...

Fashion cravings

Spring looks like its a 70's flower girl explosion in the fashion industry...

Love the look but have to be careful not to overdo it...

Here are some of the things I think are cool.

Boots in spring...enjoy!

So I've started volunteering at Ten Thousand Villages. Check out the website http://www.tenthousandvillages.com/. Its a non-profit and fair trade org. They have about 150 stores and have products from 36 countries.

Their mission is to give poor artisans in different countries a decent life, so they can live on their art, send their kids to school and have food on the table.

Been fun a exciting, and they have lot of interesting things in the store. Love their coffee and chocolate and I've been buying at least one piece of  jewelry every time I go. Coffee is fair trade and shade grown, so the taste is better than anyhting I've tasted before, and I've tasted a few.

I'm at the walnut street store in philly on sunday afternoons, so stop by and say hi if you are in the area.
